Specific features of grapes

The berries are large enough, the largest weight recorded, reaching 18 grams. The berry has a very refined and harmonious taste, medium density pulp. They look oval or slightly elongated. When fully ripe, they acquire a dark red color, incomplete maturation gives a shade of red.

The optimal load on the bush, which does not harm it, is 30 eyes. Sufficiently frost-resistant variety, which can withstand temperatures up to - 23. It also needs pruning of its bushes. It is this moment that affects the quality and quantity of the harvest. Berry productivity is high - it is stable and fruitful.

Favor is very resistant to diseases, its indicators are at a high level and reach the readings of 3. 0. Do not forget to carry out the prevention of grapes every year in order to avoid the process of disappearing of the weaving shrubs. This variety is a very worthy form of table grapes, which will not only decorate the estate, but also give an opportunity to taste a healthy delicacy.

Protecting Favor grapes from pests and diseases

Often grapes are exposed to numerous viral and bacterial pests, viruses and parasites. And what is important, grapes can not only reduce yields by 50%, but also completely disappear. Every year, it is necessary to carry out preventive measures that will save the plant from these unpleasant companions of its development.

In order to preserve the harvest and not harm the grapes themselves, a number of agrotechnical and chemical measures are carried out. Try to use poisons as little as possible, because this slightly spoils the taste and there is a small fraction of the fact that the grapes will be toxic. All grape diseases can be divided into two types: infectious and non-infectious.

The most common among infectious diseases are:

  1. White and gray rot. Based on the name, it can be understood that the first sign will be the presence of black or gray rot on green leaves. This is a rather insidious and dangerous disease, it can even affect the vaccination site, which will lead to the death of the plant.
  2. Anthracnose. It affects leaves, shoots, grapes. Brown spots appear at the site of the lesion. This is a sign of dead tissue.
  3. Oidium. The causative agent is powdery mildew. The first sign is the slow growth of some berries, and the absence of the disease at all.
  4. Mildew. Refers to a number of the most common diseases. It affects all green organs of the plant. The first sign will be the appearance of a light oily spot.

If you notice early signs of these diseases and provide prevention in time, mainly fungicide treatment gives a positive effect, then the disease will recede and the gardener will be able to maintain a high yield.

Propagation of grapes

There are two main ways of propagating grapes:

  • Vegetative propagation
  • Sexual reproduction

A good yield rate and quick engraftment will give vegetative propagation. Sexual, is used mainly for breeding new grape varieties. Vegetative reproduction will allow you to take all the maternal properties and convey them by your own development and growth. Such reproduction is carried out using the mother stem from the bush. Usually, cuttings from the stem are used. A couple of kidneys must be present on it.

Before planting it, you need to check its condition after a long hibernation.

This requires:

  1. Check the condition of the bark. It should be brown or brown. No damage, mold or any kind of disease.
  2. Check the viability of the cuttings. To do this, you need to cut it lengthwise under a small oblique slope. Green tones are a good sign.
  3. The kidney also has to be viable. Cut it open and take a look at its condition. Green color is an indicator of plant vitality.

Suitable cuttings must be soaked in potassium permanganate for several hours. Then restore the water balance. To do this, place the cuttings in water and let them drink. After carrying out these procedures, update the lower cut of the cutting. This procedure will allow the plant to absorb nutrients well.

If the procedures are successful, the cutting is ready for planting. To do this, use a regular plastic cup. At the bottom of the glass, in addition to the earth, put river sand. This creates a pillow and it is in this place that the stalk is seated. The voids that have formed also need to be filled with river sand. Do not forget about good care, watering and feeding of the plant.

Favor grape is a wonderful variety that has amazing taste. As it turned out, he is not very picky about care, although he needs a number of prophylaxis against some grape diseases.
